Diversity is an integral part of the Suffolk Madrid experience. Having classmates from all over Europe, South America, and Africa has allowed me to become a more globally aware student. It has refined my outlook on Spain and has given me a more realistic perspective of the world. With such a diverse student body, class discussions do not solely have an American focus – they also extend to different cultures. This unique learning environment has been extremely important in my personal and professional development, which will be applicable to any career I decide to pursue. Being surrounded by people from different backgrounds is a constant game of placing the right puzzle pieces together to figure each other out, and it has proven to be truly rewarding. Suffolk Madrid’s diverse student body allows everyone to learn and grow academically, socially and personally far more than at traditional American universities in the U.S.
