A current member of the IAB, Shinlei was born and raised in Formosa (another name for the island of Taiwan and originating from Portuguese, meaning “beautiful island”). She traveled to the U.S. to pursue her master’s degree in integrated marketing communication at Suffolk University in 2000. Since graduating, she has held marketing positions at Prevision and Digitas working on accounts for Stop&Shop and AT&T, respectively.
Just prior to joining PARTNERS+simons as a brand director, she served as an advocate of clean fuel sources and energy conservation at KeySpan Energy Delivery. She also led the launch of the first Chinese American marketing campaign in the New England territory of KeySpan. Her campaign earned the 2006 Rosoff Award given for External Diversity. She hopes that her varied employment history and cultural background bring a fresh perspective to the companies she has joined in the U.S.
On a more personal note, Shinlei enjoys cooking and is slowly learning the frustrating sport of golf. She and her husband live in Brookline with their two cats, Beemer and Baobay (“baby” in Mandarin).
