Mauricio Muñoz, MBA 03

Mauricio is an active member of the International Alumni Board. He received his undergraduate degree in history and business at Northeastern University. He then completed his MBA at Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School and went on to attain a master of arts in international relations from the International University of Japan (Niigata-ken). He has and continues to lend of his time to assist international students with career development questions and concerns. 

In 2006, Mauricio joined Sovereign Bank as a Project Analyst working in their Strategic Alliances Department with the bank’s Global Solutions Group. His capacity within Sovereign is twofold; Mauricio is responsible for the Sovereign Merchant business as well as Payroll services. Mauricio also functions within Sovereign’s Consumer and Business Banking in a marketing capacity doing research and analysis. His prior business experience includes managing retirement plans for several companies throughout the U.S. and working at CitiStreet (a join venture between Citi Group and State Street – a leading company in U.S. retirement industry for keeping records). Prior to his work in corporate outfits, Mauricio managed the operation functions for Designer’s Choice (the second largest cut flowers importer in New England). Despite a busy schedule Mauricio has always been gracious with help and support for fellow international peers.
