Description

’Provides an understanding of the importance of information as an organizational resource and its role in an information system. Students will learn how data management techniques can address an organization’s information management problems. Techniques for data modeling and database design will be emphasized. Strategies for managing an organization’s information resources in various environments including distributed and client server, and data warehousing will also be covered. Specific DBMSs, including Microsoft Access, will be described, used, and applied to business problems. Prerequisite: MBA 740 or MBA 670’
