Suffolk University is located on Beacon Hill in the heart of downtown Boston, a cosmopolitan city in the northeastern United States. We are near the State House and Government Center, within blocks of Boston’s Financial District, historic Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. Our campus is surrounded by cobblestone-lined streets and eighteenth century brick residences, placing us in a safe neighborhood filled with history and old-world charm. Limited on-campus housing is offered at Suffolk’s Residence Hall overlooking the Boston Common. It is a short walk to the main academic and administrative buildings. Accommodations are in single, double, triple and quad rooms or in suites. More than 450 students live in campus housing. The Residence Hall is a state-of-the-art building offering high security, cable television and computer and telephone access to each student. It has a computer lab, a fitness room, a laundry room and recreation areas. Resident students have their choice of two campus dining rooms, including one located in the Residence Hall.
If you are not able to secure space in the Residence Hall, Suffolk’s Off-Campus Housing Office (OCHO) can help you find the living situation you want. OCHO gathers information on apartment sublets, as well as listings to rent and share. The office maintains a list of other students seeking roommates and will post your advertisement for a roommate. Also, OCHO works with area realtors to better serve the students. A complete list of realtors is available upon request. (Please note that apartments are not owned by Suffolk University, therefore negotiations are not allowed.)
