The Italian Journal: Illustration and Art& Architecture in the Italian Renaissance
This intensive, faculty-led six and a half week program focuses on interpreting the landscapes, towns, and seascapes of Italy through water-coloring and drawing en-plein-air while integrating its rich history or art and culture into a valuable educational adventure. Students will explore the dramatic views and vistas of the sun-drenched Tuscan countryside: its hills, towns, royal gardens, Renaissance churches, bustling markets, piazzas, and alley-ways, all of which will be the subject matter. The outdoor studio course is combined with a course in art history, which consists of morning lectures on history and culture, for a total of 7 credits.

Study abroad for a month in Prague and learn about “Design Thinking.” The curriculum will use Czech and Central European cultural features as inspiration for learning the creative process, skills that can be applied broadly and globally across disciplines. This course offers a worldly insight to the significance of divergent thinking.
This program includes excusions to Berlin, Cesky Kromluv, Kutna Hora and the Art Mill.
BSBA students may use this course to fulfill the Creativity and Innovation requirement as well as the Global Engagement Experience and Diverse Perspectives requirement. Global Business majors may also count this toward SIB560 travel requirement.
CAS students, this is a Humanities Elective and also fulfills your Expanded Classroom requirement.

1.WHU is proud to announce its 7th European Summer Institute for international undergraduate students titled “The Business, Political and Cultural Environment in Europe.” Tailored to students who are interested in business administration, this two-week program will be offered on the beautiful premises of WHU (Vallendar, Germany) in June 2015.
2.Justus Liebig University (JLU) offers an interdisciplinary summer program with special seminars and German language courses. Find out more information from their website.
American College Thessaloniki offers some wonderful courses this summer in English in the following disciplines: Business, Humanities, Social Sciences and Theology.
The University College Cork is holding a summer program titled, " The Golden Age: Imagination and the Making of Irish Identity". The program will be comprised of two weeks of Irish history courses and two weeks of English literature courses
We have many summer program opportunities available through our partner institutions in Italy located in Rome and Florence.
1. Sophia University in Tokyo offers two great programs this summer: Summer Session in Asian Studies and Japanese Language Intensive Course.
Please note: the Summer Session in Asian Studies has a 2.75 GPA requirement.
2. Kansai Gaidai University is offering a six-week program focusing on introductory Japanese language and hands-on experiences in Japanese culture.
