You will use your MySuffolk account to search for and select courses, pay your tuition bill, check your placement scores, and more.
It is important that you also understand how to navigate Suffolk email, use Blackboard for course information, find your E-Bill, and use the course search/registration system.
Your transfer equivalency report is a document which lists each course you received credit for from your previous institution. You receive your transfer equivalency report from the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
If you are a student in the Sawyer Business School, you must complete a minimum of 124 credits in order to be eligible to graduate. Sawyer Business School students take a combination of 3 and 4 credit courses. If you transferred to Suffolk from an institution that offered only 3 credit courses, you may need to take extra free electives in order to reach the 124 required credits.
Meeting with an advisor for academic planning helps to ensure that you are on track to graduate when you want to.
If you transferring to Suffolk from a different institution, you should meet with an academic advisor for a customized review of your transfer credit evaluation. This will ensure that you have received all possible transfer credits and are making the best use of your transfer credits.
Academic planning will also help you better understand your remaining requirements. Together, we will map out your degree requirements, semester by semester, to ensure that you are on the best possible pathway to graduation.
Every degree and major has different requirements. To learn your curriculum requirement, use these checklists as a guide.
For the official validation credit policy: Refer to the policies section of the most recent Academic Catalog, select credits, and select validation credit: SBS. Consult with an advisor for clarification.
Validation Credit applies to Sawyer Business School courses only. Courses you received validation credit for will be indicated with a VAL on your transfer equivalency report.
