Monica is a full time student in the Master of Science in Accounting program starting in Fall 07. As an International student, she enjoys her life at Suffolk and in Boston. Monica received her bachelor’s degree in International Business and Economics in Shanghai, China. She got an internship in the Chinese government as a financial analysis assistant in 2005, which gave her a greater chance to learn more about the development of the Chinese economy.

In order to concentrate on a more specific field of business and also broaden her experience, Monica decided to continue her education abroad. She came to Boston in August, 2007. She was very attracted by the various museums around Boston area. Now she is happy to study at Suffolk, located in downtown Boston - only a 5 minute walk to Chinatown. During her first winter break in the US, Monica worked as a volunteer in an independent movie studio. She enjoyed working with movie editors and directors there.

As new semester begins, Monica is enthusiastic about her business case analysis class. Though it’s really challenging for a non-English speaker, she still enjoys it and has a lot of fun.
