Suffolk Student Ambassador Photo: JietaMy name is Morjieta, from Milton, Ma. I am a senior majoring in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology and Law, and my hope for the future is to go to law school (hopefully Suffolk Law School) and eventually become a judge.

I chose Suffolk University because of its historic location and because of all the diversity it has. I would say Suffolk’s greatest strength is its diversity. I love learning about all the unique cultures that unite Suffolk’s student body, especially the international students. Suffolk’s Study Abroad program encourages this diversity by allowing students to travel to places they never imagined. Being a student in Boston allows you to see an amazing lifestyle both day and night.

I am currently the President of the Suffolk Step Team and I am also a member of the Black Student Union, Caribbean Student Network, and Commuter Student Association.

The classes are great because of their sizes and there is a lot of opportunity to find small class sizes. I would say almost all of my professors were really helpful and helped me learn a lot for each particular class.

My advice to incoming students is to be prepared mentally and financially.
