Students with financial aid awards which exceed their direct costs, may request a book voucher during the first two weeks of the semester.  A book voucher is NOT a request for additional financial aid.  Rather, it is an advance on your anticipated refund which allows you to purchase books and supplies.  Book vouchers will reduce the amount a students receives in a refund.

In addition to having sufficient funding, your financial aid funds must be ready to disburse in order to qualify for a book voucher.  All required paperwork for aid programs must be completed and on file with the Office of Student Financial Services.  If your award includes funds from outside the University (i.e. outside scholarships or alternative loans), the funds must be received and posted to your tuition account.

The amount of the book voucher varies depending on the amount of aid over your direct costs.  The minimum book voucher amount is $100 and the maximum is $600.
