Kaitlyn is a full time graduate student in the Master of Science in Crime and Justice Studies/Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling Program. She graduated from Alvernia College in Reading, Pa in May of 2008 with a joint degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology.
Kaitlyn was born in Boston and has lived here all of her life. After spending 5 years out of state as an undergraduate, she decided that she wanted to come back to Boston for graduate school.
In the fall of 2006, Kaitlyn spent a semester abroad in London. She studied at the University of Westminster. This experience was one she will never forget and she recommends that any student who has the opportunity to study abroad take it.
When she isn’t working, studying, or in class, Kaitlyn enjoys reading, listening to music, playing video games and spending time with friends and family. She loves to travel and would very much enjoy being able to go back to Europe as well as visit countries she has yet to visit. In addition to London, Kaitlyn has visited Spain, Paris, Hawaii and various other destinations around the United States. Kaitlyn loves meeting new people and would be very happy to talk to students about her experiences, academic or otherwise.
In the future, Kaitlyn plans to earn her PhD in Psychology in order to become a licensed psychologist. As a career, Kaitlyn would like to utilize the skills learned in both of her majors and work in the field of sex offender rehabilitation.
