Join Dean Bill O’Neill for this annual tradition. Escape to the unspoiled natural beauty of the Essex River. You’ll cruise through spectacular views of scenic salt marshes rich with unique wildlife. The marsh itself is part of the Essex River, an intriguing natural work in progress. Formed 15,000 years ago by melting glaciers of the last Ice Age, the marsh serves as a feeding ground for many species of birds and other abundant wildlife. 

This year we’ll go ashore on one of the sandbars for a picnic dinner.
