Hernandez named GNAC Co-Rookie of the Year

Freshman Alex Hernandez (Newton, MA) was named the 2007 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Co-Rookie of the Year. Two Suffolk women’s tennis players were named to the first team All-GNAC, Kellie Sturma, a junior from Newman, GA, and Kaitlynn Cates, a sophomore from Middlebury, CT.  Hernandez and sophomore Catarina Rosa (Fall River, MA) were selected the second-team all-conference squad. Suffolk was the 2007 GNAC regular season and tournament champion and earned an automatic bid to the 2008 NCAA Division III National Women’s Tennis Championships in May, 2008.
