GNAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Year

Kaitlynn Cates, a junior from Middlebury, CT, was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Year for 2008. Playing out of the number one singles position, Cates amassed an overall record of 10-1 during the season, going 7-0 in conference play. Cates who was a member of the 2007 GNAC Championship team has compiled a record of 23-1 over the past two seasons. She also put together a record of 9-0 in doubles matches with partner Alex Hernandez-Vallant. Both Cates and Hernandez-Vallant were named to the All-Conference team for doubles.
