Global Seminars satisfy the Travel Requirement for the Global Business Major.
Global MBA: Participation in a Global Seminar is a required, integral component of the GMBA curriculum.
MBA: Global Seminars satisfy the International Business Elective requirement.
MSA: Global Seminars may be taken if permission is gained from the program director
MSF: Only London Financial Markets may be taken

To register for a Global Travel Seminar, you will need to submit a registration form along with a $500 non-refundable deposit to Jackie Gerhold, Program Manager of the Global Travel Seminars located in Sawyer 659
No, online registration is blocked because students are required to pre-register with the Office of Global Travel Seminars. Once a registration form and deposit is submitted, the Office of Global Travel Seminars will then register you for the course.
Yes. Students from other campuses and online students are expected to attend pre-and post-travel class sessions. Exemptions may be possible for online students who do not live in New England but must be agreed upon with the professor during pre-registration process.
back to top^Total cost for a Global Travel Seminar is tuition for a three credit course plus an additional seminar fee. The seminar fee includes: hotel accommodations based on double occupancy, ground transportation, business programming, cultural activities, and many meals. Airfare and visa are not included in the seminar fee and are the responsibility of the student.
Once your registration form and $500 nonrefundable deposit has been receievd, the Office of Global Travel Seminars will submit the checks to Student Accounts to be deposited in your account and notify the Registrar's Office of your registration. Upon entry into the school’s registration system your student account will be billed automatically the total program fee. You will be billed the total program fee and you will be separately credited the $500 deposit. The remaining program fee is due according to the tuition schedule published by student accounts.
A check or money order made payable to Suffolk University is the only form of payment accepted for the deposit. The Office of Global Travel Seminars is unable to take credit card payments. The remaining amount of the seminar fee can be paid in any manner acceptable to the student accounts office.
This amount can vary widely depending on your personal tastes. Many of your evenings will normally be free to explore.
You will need to consult directly with the Financial Aid office to determine the options available to you. The program fee can normally be paid with your loan. McDonnell Scholarships may be available to participating undergraduate students. Please check for updated information on the website.
back to top^Both Undergraduate and Graduate students are able to use their frequent flyer miles as they are both responsible for purchasing their own airfare and visa and are not required to travel with faculty and classmates. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure they arrive to their destination on time. Please note: a group flight option will be offered to all students participating in a travel seminar. A minimum of 10 students is required to book such flights. The Global Travel Seminars Office will do its best to work with any undergraduate students who wish to fly together.
Due to the academic rigor of the program, those not enrolled in the course are not allowed to travel or visit with you during the travel portion of these courses.
