The Office of Technology Management is responsible for the installation, maintenance and up keep of all computing hardware and software for the Sawyer Business School. This includes desktop computers available to students and faculty in the Sawyer Computer Lab.

Location

The computer lab is located in Sawyer 522 & 544, adjacent to the Office of Technology Management. 70 Dell and Gateway computers are located in Room 522 & 544. Lab machines print to 3 HP LaserJet printers. All machines are standardized on Windows 2000 running Microsoft Office 2003 and additional productivity applications. We recommend you backup your work to a USB flash drive.

Computer Lab Hours

The computer lab is currently closed through September 3, 2008.

Suffolk ID Cards

Each student is issued a Suffolk University ID card. You may obtain one from the Suffolk Police located in the lobby of the Sawyer Building. You must have your Suffolk ID to gain access to the computer lab. The lab is reserved for University students, faculty, and alumni only.

Food

No food or drink is permitted in any computer lab or computer classroom located in the Sawyer building. This includes permanent, spill proof containers, except those containing pure water.

Telephones

Payphones are located on the 4th and 5th floors. Cellular phones are not allowed in any computer lab.

Printing

Printing is free, but please do not use the printer as a copy machine. If printouts are not picked up within 10 minutes, they will be disposed of in the nearest recycling bin.
