• Boardroom Leadership Scholars Program

Inaugurated in 2007, the Suffolk MBA Boardroom Leadership Scholars Program annually recognizes sixteen graduating students in the Suffolk MBA Programs.

These are students who have not only distinguished themselves in the classroom, but also exhibit a clear understanding of what it takes to be a leader in today’s global business environment.

Those selected for this honor, receive the opportunity of a lifetime to meet in a boardroom setting for two hours to discuss global leadership with a nationally renowned business executive.

The 2009 Boardroom Leader is Ms. Micho Spring, President of Weber-Shandwick Worldwide/New England Office and Chair of their U.S. Corporate Practice.

Weber Shandwick is a global public relations and communications leader. Across an expansive global network of public relations practitioners, their award-winning communications teams bring to every engagement an unrelenting client focus, a passion for their clients’ businesses, innovative and creative strategies and a commitment to measurable results.

With a career spanning over two decades, Ms. Spring brings an unparalleled mix of experience and enthusiasm to her leadership at Weber Shandwick.  A brief list of her accomplishments include:

"I really want to thank you for selecting me as one of the Boardroom Leadership Scholars this year.  The experience was the highlight of my time at Suffolk and one of the highlights of my career.  If not the best it is very close to being the best professional experience of my life."

"It was truly an honor to be able to sit and have an open and candid discussion with you, as I find your experience and knowledge inspiring.  Additionally, your ideas and approaches on leadership were insightful and will prove to be a great benefit to me as I look to the future. If I am ever asked, as you were today, to share an event, a conversation or an insight that has had significant impact on my life I will reflect on today’s experience and be able to tell a motivational and inspiring story."
