At Suffolk, you’ll meet students who are as bright, curious and motivated as you are. Some will be from backgrounds very much like yours; others from backgrounds that are completely different. You’ll learn from both.
Though you’ll have a wealth of opportunities to learn, your classes will be small. And all of them will be taught by members of the Suffolk faculty, not teaching assistants – the same faculty who teach graduate students. You’ll have a faculty counselor and a professional advisor to assist you in maneuvering through our rich offerings So despite all Suffolk has to offer, you’ll never feel overwhelmed.
Suffolk’s home campus is on Beacon Hill in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts, a Mecca for students from around the world. Our students alone come from more than 100 countries. And we also have campuses in Madrid, Spain and Dakar, Senegal.
Suffolk has vibrant clubs and associations that celebrate diversity and the arts: the Black Student Union; and Hispanic, Asian and Caribbean groups to name a few. Each year we celebrate Chinese New Year. We invite speakers from all over the world. We are one of the few universities in Boston with a Muslim prayer room.
Suffolk takes full advantage of its urban setting. You’ll meet and interact with Boston-area CEOs and entrepreneurs and analyze what’s made their businesses successful.
As a freshman, you’ll take a Boston Duck Tour to introduce you to the city and the Suffolk community. Then you’ll take part in a team case study of Boston Duck Tours as a business. Later, the CEO of Boston Duck Tours will discuss the unique challenges and opportunities the company faces in as a guest speaker on campus.
You will be encouraged to explore and given the flexibility to do so, throughout your years at Suffolk.
Alumni say their four years at Suffolk were some of the most productive and fun of their lives. Which is good news, because your first day here will be the start of a career that will probably span functions, industries, and even cultures.
