Spring 2009 Semester - IB 550 TC2
Travel Component: May 9-18, 2010
During this trip, students will learn about the cultural, staffing and people management challenges faced by multinational companies and their employees. We will also engage in a series of cultural activities that will immerse them in the life of these historical and vibrant countries.
Belgium is a small, highly developed and densely populated country at the cross roads of Western Europe. Belgium is one of the founding members of the European community, and its capital, Brussels, is also the capital of the European Union. Belgium has possibly the highest “quality of life” in the world as testified by its excellent food, housing, healthcare, education and infrastructure, its world record of high productivity and low poverty.
Well known for its scenery and cultural highlights, Austria is located at the heart of Europe. The Alps dominate the western and southern parts of Austria such as Salzburg while the eastern provinces, including Vienna, the capital, lie in the Danube basin.
