Summary

To upgrade all computers within the Business School to Windows XP Professional and Office 2007 before the Fall 2008 semester. The upgrade covers all computers on our network. This includes classrooms, labs, administrators, faculty, and staff.

Project Scope

Currently all computers are standardized on Windows 2000 Professional with Office 2003. The scope of this project is to implement Windows XP and Office 2007 on all computers within the Business School.

Hardware upgrades will also be performed to bring all computers in line with current technology requirements and standards.

Additional software such as email clients and software used in labs and classrooms will also be upgraded to current versions.

Methodology

The project is divided into the following phases:

• Analysis
• Development and Testing
• Staging
• Implementation
• Post-Implementation

Timeline

This project commenced on April 2008 and completion is expected by August 2008.
