In continuation of Congressman Joseph Moakley’s commitment to public service, the Public Management Department in the Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University holds many informative and networking events throughout the year. Some of our more recent events include:
Congresswoman Nikki Tsongas spoke to current Public Management and Healthcare students, Suffolk University alumni, faculty and staff about her experience as a Freshman Congresswoman, and the difficulty of being a Super Delegate in such a historic Presidential Primary. . She also addressed today’s public service issues including the need for healthcare reform.

The Public Management Department hosted it’s second annual State and Local Luncheon last November, in the Great Hall in the Massachusetts State House in Boston. Lunch was served with remarks by the City of Lawrence’s Mayor, Michael J. Sullivan. The Luncheon is a great way to meet faculty members, students, alumni, as well as prominent members of the community.
