Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School announces the Executive Master of Public Administration

The Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University has launched its 18-month, Saturday only Executive MPA program offering mid- to senior-level public service leaders a thought-provoking, highly selective peer-group educational experience.  

The Executive MPA prepares public policy leaders and managers for roles in top-tier government and public policy development, community based programs, advocacy and social change. Building a career-long professional network begins with fellow Suffolk students. Suffolk Alumni become colleagues, mentors, guest speakers and a support system for our current students through Suffolk’s Alumni Association.

The Seminar Experience

Suffolk’s Executive MPA features required residential seminars designed to promote an educational experience focused on integrated thinking and global leadership. Each seminar builds upon previous classroom work and sets the stage for the next cluster of courses.

• Management Seminar – The first introduction to the Executive MPA experience, the Management Seminar focuses on ethics and social responsibility and utilizes both simulations and case study methods.
• Leadership Seminar – Designed to develop and refine organizational leadership skills at multiple levels, this seminar combines classroom activities with a physical challenge, resulting in an intensive educational experience based upon the synergy of concept and application.
• Washington Seminar – Conducted in Washington, DC, this seminar provides a firsthand exposure to the linkage between public and economic policy and its impact on business development and implementation. It includes meetings with key members of Congress, the administration, lobbyists, the media and other organizations that may influence public policy development.
