Timothy Lynch

MBA/Health

After earning his undergraduate degree in healthcare administration, Tim took a job as an operations supervisor at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Within a few years, he knew he had found a career he enjoyed, and was ready to take his education to the next level. His search for a graduate program led him to Suffolk’s MBA/Health program. “Suffolk offered the degree I wanted, with the flexibility I needed. I was able to earn my MBA part-time, while still building my professional career full-time. And I could easily translate my education into practice in the workplace.”

The Sawyer Business School’s flexible program was only half the story. Tim found the educational experience to be very challenging, and equally rewarding. “The professors have great real-world experience and do an excellent job of engaging student networking, the sharing of best practices, and the further development of teamwork, presentation and strategic thinking skills. The program provides the framework for students to become sound business leaders, and it’s up to us as students to make that a reality.”

Tim draws on his Suffolk education every day in his current role as Administrative Director in the Department of Neurology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Responsible for the overall operations for six outpatient practices and working with more than 75 physicians and trainees, Tim and his team strive to deliver the highest quality care and service to internal and external customers. “While I don’t provide care to patients, I do help make that care possible. And at the end of the day, I really feel good about what I’ve done,” Tim says.
