What if I do not have a background in business?

If you do not have an undergraduate or graduate degree in business, our programs require that you enroll in prerequisite courses, which provide you with the foundation that will help you succeed in Suffolk's programs. Prerequisites are taught through the MBA Program and may be taken once enrolled at Suffolk University. back to top^

What courses can I get waived? How many courses can I have reviewed for waivers?

The Graduate Programs in Finance Office looks for an academic background in economics, accounting, finance & statistics.  If we consider your prior coursework to be equivalent to one or more of our prerequisites, course(s) will be waived accordingly.  All students must complete a minimum of 30-credits to earn a graduate degree from the Sawyer Business School.  If you would like your unofficial transcripts evaluated to determine possible waiver status if admitted, contact the Graduate Programs in Finance Office.
