The Sawyer Business School’s Center for Entrepreneurial Studies (CES) is a resource that helps our students turn challenges into opportunities, while supplementing students’ knowledge, skills and abilities into the actual launch of a business venture. The CES consists of entrepreneurial academic and professional faculty who provide our students with an experiential curriculum with a key focus on student success and making a difference. Our students will gain a better understanding of themselves and opportunities that provide the best entrepreneurial fit. Our students will take their opportunity and prepare a feasibility plan, defend their business plan, all leading to an actual launch of their venture, or placement into another start-up company.
We partner with local, state, and national organizations that help develop activities that are integrated into our academic curriculum. We provide additional reinforcement by providing guidance in the nuts and bolts of business planning, launches, or managing the start-up venture.
We also provide a speaker series that brings entrepreneurs to campus, where they deliver first-person inspirational messages on overcoming challenges to achieve individual goals. The Sawyer Business School encourages entrepreneurial thinking and acts as a sounding board for the new generation of global entrepreneurs.
