• Message from the Chair

Technology has changed the way we live our lives and it has had a profound impact on the field of finance. Increases in processing speeds and data storage have led to dramatic advances in the ability to assess risk and performance of markets. Faced with ever-growing performance in how companies assess performance and risk, students will have to keep pace with developing technology and be prepared for unknown future developments.

University education has to adapt to include ongoing learning by both students and teachers for things can change literally overnight. The Finance department at Sawyer Business School is committed to provide finance education for this changing world of technology.

Our aim is not only to provide our students with superior technology skills. We want them to graduate with strong communication skills as well as the ethical values needed to succeed in the corporate world.

Whether enrolled in our undergraduate program (BSBA), our Master’s of Science in Finance (MSF), or our Master’s of Science in Banking and Financial Services (MSFSB), you will receive a solid academic preparation  for a bright and challenging career in finance.

Sincerely,

Ki C. Han, Chair and Full Professor of Finance
