Global MBA students complement their classroom experience with a one-week global seminar, completed in either the winter break or spring break. Students apply what they've learned in the classroom to real global business environments meeting with global executives and participating in live case studies.
Global MBAs have participated in global seminars in Brazil, Germany, England and Denmark & Sweden.
Seminars consist of four on-campus class sessions; three pre-travel and one post-travel. These classes provide a perspective on regional economic, cultural, political, and legal issues; and explore their impact on global business.

During the week abroad, students tour the operations of multinational corporations and/or local businesses and interact with business leaders from around the world. Many companies provide mini-workshops with their global executives in a company boardroom. Students experience a total cultural immersion as they also visit key cultural sites and enjoy group meals in local restaurants.

While the global travel seminar is optional for MBAs, it is required for the Global MBAs. As a 3-credit course, the global travel seminar falls within standard tuition rates. An additional seminar fee that covers accommodations, ground transportation in the regional area, most meals, and cultural and business excursions is also charged. Students are responsible for airfare and visa (if required). Trips vary in cost as determined by the destination.
