Do the Math – A Suffolk MSA Adds Up

It doesn’t take an advanced degree in accounting to know that a challenging full-time career + personal demands = little time to spare.

Suffolk’s Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) has just the solution for that equation. Our MSA program is structured for full-time and part-time students to complete their graduate degree within a manageable time frame.

Our MSA program offers:

  • Classes that meet once per week in fall and spring, twice a week in abbreviated summer sessions.
  • A “back to back” format which allows students to take two classes in one evening.

The strength of our MSA program continues to be its high level of excellence.  Suffolk’s MSA program is the only one in Boston and one of the only three in Massachusetts with AACSB accreditation separate from overall business school accreditation.

MSA students develop advanced skills and knowledge required for a career in accounting. Our accounting faculty bring real life global business expertise to the classroom to better prepare graduate students for the field. Our diverse classes and career track options expose students to numerous career options in the accounting field. Since many students in the MSA program are already employed, one can make valuable professional connections in the classroom, adding to the value of a Suffolk education.

Career Track Options

The MSA program offers students a choice of five career tracks to prepare them for executive-level careers in public accounting, consulting, government, and many other sectors.

  • Public Accounting
  • Controllership (for-profit)
  • Controllership(not-for-profit)
  • Fraud Examination
  • Information Technology
