Graduate Programs in Finance Admission

Note: All Graduate Programs in Finance currently operate on a quarter-based academic system. If you currently meet prerequisites, you may enroll in one of our programs during the March 2012 intake point.

Effective Fall 2012 the Graduate Programs in Finance will align with the rest of Suffolk University and operate on a semester-based academic system. We will then enroll full-time students in the fall (September) and spring (January); and part-time students in the fall (September), spring (January), and summer (May).

Our Graduate Programs are geared toward highly qualified professionals and committed individuals. To apply you must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and submit:

  • Application for admission with a $50 nonrefundable application fee
  • Statement of professional goals indicating how a degree from the Graduate Programs in Finance will help you achieve your goals
  • Current resume
  • Two letters of recommendation from past or present academic or professional colleagues
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate schools attended
  • An official GMAT or GRE score.
    GMAT or GRE waivers:
    *Candidates who hold a CFA designation
    *Candidates who are graduates of ABA-accredited law schools who have passed the bar exam
    *Others will be considered on a case by case basis

Note: International students must also submit TOEFL scores and a statement of financial resources.

An interview with the director of the Graduate Programs in Finance is the final step in the admission process for local applicants. Once the Office of Graduate Admission has received all application materials, prospective students who live or work in the Massachusetts area will be contacted by the Graduate Programs in Finance Office to arrange an interview.
