BSBA Major in Information Systems

The BSBA in Information Systems major prepares students for careers in the application of information systems and information technology in all areas of business. The IS major consists of two career tracks:

• Business Analyst Track
• Information Technologist Track

Both tracks will develop your communications and team building skills and involve real-world projects. Both tracks allow you to succeed in a job market in which the integration of information technology, information systems, and operations management are increasingly vital for career mobility.

Minors

Information Systems Minor

The minor in Information Systems consists of 3 courses/9 credits below the completions of ISOM 120 Information Technology and Productivity Tools and ISOM 310 Management Information Systems. Select three courses from the following list:

Electronic Commerce Minor

The minor in Electronic Commerce is more focused then the Information Systems minor. Students may minor in both IS and Electronic Commerce but three distinct courses are required for each minor. These three courses are beyond the completion of ISOM 120 Information Technology & Productivity Tools, and ISOM 310 Management Information Systems. One of the three Electronic Commerce minor courses must be ISOM 212 Web Design, or ISOM 331 E-Commerce.
