Unique to the Suffolk MBA, this 1-credit introductory course brings together full- and part-time students from all our campuses for a challenging and exciting two days. It focuses every student on their career goals from day one in their MBA, regardless of how long they’ve been in the work force.
What will you do in this course?
Before you enter the classroom you will:
- Complete an online self-assessment tool used by top-level firms from across the country
- It measures your business competencies, networking savvy, emotional intelligence, and influence power
- Read an annual report of a global company
- Complete a SPOT analysis of the company and of yourself as a professional (strengths, potential, opportunities, and threats)
In class you will:
- Role play senior executives determining the success of your company, facing critical operational and strategic decisions in a fast-paced business simulation
- Meet with corporate coaches in workshop settings about Career Strategy, Effective Business Writing, and Powerful Corporate Presentations
- Write a Career Development Plan to identify personal goals for your Suffolk MBA experience and beyond
