This specialized MBA degree prepares business leaders with focused skills in finance, accounting, strategic management, marketing, and information systems for the healthcare industry. Business competencies are a must-have for health organizations in all sectors including hospitals, community health centers, and large healthcare systems.

You will learn about the social, political, economic, and financial environments of the American healthcare system; and the tools, concepts and techniques of effective managerial decision-making, financial planning, and administrative control.

The MBA/Health degree has the same number of credits as the MBA. The specialization occurs in the designation of the electives.

Locations

The MBA portion of this specialized degree may be completed at our main Boston campus, at our off site location in North Andover and fully online.  

The specialized Health Administration portion of the degree must be completed on campus in Boston.

Six of the 24 credits (2 courses) will be healthcare electives to be selected with the consultation of the Healthcare Adminstration Director.

Three of the 24 credits (1 course) will be an MBA elective  and may be selected from accounting, business law and ethics, entrepreneurship, finance and managerial economics, information systems, international business, marketing, organizational behavior, strategic management, and taxation.

* One elective must be in the International Business Area.
