Dedication to teaching a new generation of finance professionals is the hallmark of our faculty. They hail from countries as distant as Tunisia, China, Uganda, Iran and the United States, but share a universal calling to teach.
Members of our faculty have worked as an economist for the Shanghai Stock Exchange, as a director of equity research for Smith Barney in London and as a developer of executive training programs for Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and others – to name just a few.
Most MSF faculty carry schedules that redefine the word ‘busy.’ Chris Argyrople, Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance, has recently launched an equity hedge fund called Concentric Investment Management. A former partner and co-founder of Delta Partners LLC, Argyrople also teaches classes year-round in the MSF program.
A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and MIT’s Sloan School of Management, Argyrople learned the ropes as a former financial analyst for the Ford Motor Company and as a portfolio manager and equity analyst for Atlas Investments and Par Capital Management.
Despite his hectic professional schedule, Professor Argyrople has made the commitment to teach for the MSF program. It’s this dedication and willingness to share the practical knowledge he has worked hard to gain that makes him a favorite faculty member among students. Clearly Professor Argyrople has many responsibilities and commitments, but he is eager to share what he has learned during his passage through the finance industry.
