This year, students organized the first-ever Project Management Club at the Sawyer Business School.
Led by faculty advisor Professor Ken Hung, the club members are divided into five teams: marketing, project design, communications, treasury, and art design. This structure aims to give the club a company-like feeling.
During its first year, the club hosted several events and guest lectures. Their cultural fashion show was featured in the Suffolk Journal, and included students from China, Japan, Burma, India, and Africa.
"In the future, we will host more business area events such as career services events and company," said Chun Hung, president of the club. The students are also developing a guidebook to help other clubs plan Suffolk events more effectively.
"We will definitely cosponsor more events with related clubs to benefit all business students. We are looking for great opportunities for the Suffolk community to gain more knowledge about project management and hands on experiences," Hung added.
