Founded in 1975, Suffolk’s Executive MBA is the longest-standing EMBA program in New England.
Only five percent of MBAs awarded each year worldwide are Executive MBAs—it’s a mark of distinction.
Learn with other Leaders
Unlike a traditional MBA, the EMBA program is designed for seasoned professionals who want more responsibility in today's competitive global economy. At Suffolk, your EMBA classmates have an average of 14 years of professional or leadership experience in industries such as financial services, healthcare, bio, pharma, life sciences, technology, and the military.
Another unique feature of the 16-month-long program is its cohort structure, which promotes professional development in a team-centric and collaborative environment. With small class sizes, you’ll develop lasting connections and learn from classmates who have diverse backgrounds and experiences to share.
National and Global Experience
As part of the program, you’ll participate in four residential seminars, including a weeklong Global Travel Seminar, where you’ll work on real-life case studies at major global businesses. Our students have visited companies such as BMW, Shell, L’Oréal Paris, General Electric, and Coca-Cola.
The curriculum extends well beyond traditional business. You’ll learn how to handle conflict, deal with ethical issues, develop emotional intelligence, analyze leadership styles, build consensus, and solve problems strategically.
Your studies will culminate in a capstone project where you’ll spend four months designing and researching a topic that applies your coursework to your interests and career goals. You’ll graduate from the program ready to leverage your experiences to lead across organizations and borders.
International Student Sponsorship
The Executive MBA now sponsors F-1 visas for international applicants with at least seven years of professional experience. We do not require the GMAT or GRE. A TOEFL (80) or IELTS (6.5) score and a financial guarantee are required for international applicants. International students may also apply for non-credit CPT internships of up to 20 hours per week. (Exceptions may be made for up to 40 hours per week.)
Return on Investment
Financially supporting an employee through Suffolk’s EMBA Program pays dividends weekly, as students arrive to work with valuable skills, best practices from other industries, creative approaches to strategy, and renewed motivation. Students are transformed from managers into inspired leaders, ready to take on more responsibilities.
