Only 5 percent of MBAs awarded each year worldwide are Executive MBAs—it’s a mark of distinction.
Unlike a traditional MBA, the EMBA program is designed for seasoned professionals who want more responsibility in today's competitive global economy. At Suffolk, your EMBA classmates have an average of seven years of professional or leadership experience in industries such as financial services, healthcare, technology, and the military.
Another unique feature of the 21-month-long program is its cohort structure, which promotes professional development in a team-centric and collaborative environment. As you move through the program, you’ll take classes with the same tightly knit group of students. With classes capped at 25, you’ll develop lasting connections and learn from classmates who have diverse backgrounds and experiences to share.
The curriculum extends well beyond traditional business. You’ll learn how to handle conflict, deal with ethical issues, develop emotional intelligence, analyze leadership styles, build consensus, and solve problems strategically.
As part of the program, you’ll spend eight months designing and researching a capstone project that applies to your coursework, interests, and career goals.
You’ll also participate in a weeklong Global Travel Seminar, where you’ll work on real-life case studies at major global businesses. Our students have visited and pitched proposals to major companies such as BMW, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Volkswagen, GE, Natura, and Coca-Cola.
You’ll graduate from the program ready to leverage your experiences to lead across organizations and borders.
We hope that you’ll continue to invest in your education after you graduate. As part of our commitment to lifelong learning, alumni can audit our EMBA courses at no cost. It’s a chance to stay on stop of evolving business trends and meet new industry professionals.
Suffolk University is a board member of the EMBA Council, an international consortium of university EMBA programs promoting the value of executive education.
