About AlcoholEdu and Haven Requirement

As part of our comprehensive alcohol prevention program and sexual assault prevention program, Suffolk University is requiring that every incoming student complete certain online modules. 

New undergraduate students under the age of 24 must complete "AlcoholEdu for College" and Haven All undergraduates 24+ years of age and all graduate students must complete Haven.  

Both modules have two sections, both of which must be completed to fulfill this requirement.

*Part 1 takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete and we recommend that you take it in multiple sittings. Part 1 ends after Survey 2 and the Exam.

*The deadline for finishing Part 1 is August 31st for the Fall semester.

*About 45 days after you complete Part 1, you will receive an e-mail asking you to complete Part 2. Part 2 closes in October. If not completed The Dean of Students will be notified. 

Please note that the course includes three surveys that measure students’ attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are strictly confidential; the school will only receive information about the student body as whole and will never see individual students’ answers.

 

 

Instructions for Alcohol Edu and Haven: Now Open

Instructions for undergraduates (under 24 years of age):

To access this required program, please follow the instructions below.  You will need a computer with Internet access and audio capabilities. To begin:

1. Register with EverFi by visiting: http://www.everfi.com/register

2. Under 'Get Started Today' enter: c168005a

3. Click on 'I'm a student'

4. Complete all registration information (3 screens)

    **Please Note: To complete this process you must have your Suffolk University email address and ID number available. Only accounts with Suffolk University e-mail addresses and ID numbers will be considered valid.

5. Click 'Finished!' which will bring you to the dashboard

6. Once at your EverFi Dashboard, click Add a Course on the top right

7. Enter 39a563958.

Once you return to the Dashboard you will see both the AlcoholEdu and Haven courses

9. Begin the curriculum 

 

Instructions for Graduate Students and undergraduates 24+ years of age:

1. Register with EverFi by visiting: http://www.everfi.com/register

2. Under 'Get Started Today' enter: 39a56395

3. Click on 'I'm a student'

4. Complete all registration information (3 screens)    

     **Please Note: To complete this process you must have your Suffolk University email address and ID number available. Only accounts with Suffolk    University e-mail addresses and ID numbers will be considered valid. 

5. Click 'Finished!' which will bring you to the dashboard.

6. On the dashboard click 'Get Started' in the box labeled 'Haven'

Help and Other Information:

  • You will need Internet access and audio capabilities.
  • To avoid technical issues, please use any major web browser released within the previous two years (best when used with a browser other than Internet Explorer such as Safari, Firefox or Chrome).
  • You may complete the course in multiple sittings.
  • The course may include surveys to help personalize your experience and benchmark your attitudes and behaviors in relationship to other college students. All survey responses are confidential; Suffolk University will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual students' answers.
  • Technical Issues: Should you experience any technical issues with logging in or program navigation only EverFi technical support can help. Technical support is available 24/7 and can be accessed from the "Help" link at the 'Higher Education Student Support' or call EverFi at: 866-384-9062.  You do not need to be logged into the course to access the Technical Support Center.

If you have completed AlcoholEdu at another institution and need your records transferred to Suffolk please contact Paulette Giambalvo at pgiambalvo@suffolk.edu. Please include the institution, year of completion and email address used in your communication.
