• Student Involvement

Each year, multiple Suffolk clubs and organizations sponsor programs to educate others about their culture and their contributions to a diverse society. Many of them collaborate with other groups and departments to offer a colorful spectrum of activities. Moreover, Suffolk students have been the driving force behind the expansion of Unity Week as they lead numerous initiatives like the assembly project (mosaic, quilt, puzzles), Unity Week Showcase, and Unity Week Fair.

Example Activities:

  • Project Unity - WSUB TV Station’s documentary about diversity at Suffolk University
  • Weakest Link - Asian American Association’s Asian/Asian American Culture Trivia Game
  • Noche Caliente - SU Hispanic Association’s off-campus Salsa Party at the Greek Club
  • The Abilities of People with Disabilities with Motivational Speaker Matt Glowacki - Dean of Students Office and Helping Hands-Best Buddies

Submit your group sponsored program information here by February 15.

Other ways to contribute:

  • Participate in the Unity Week Fair.
  • Send a representative to the Unity Week planning meetings.
  • Talk to your professors about Unity Week and suggest that they devote an Open Class to the themes of Unity week.
  • Ask your professors about receiving extra credit for attending Unity Week programs and activities through the Unity Week Passport Program.

Finally, you and/or your club/organization can perform in the Unity Week Showcase. Members of the campus community express Unity through song, dance, and theatrical performances at the showcase. The Unity Week Showcase will serve as a celebratory closing to this exciting week!
