• Faculty Involvement

Faculty support and involvement with Unity Week is crucial to its success and growth each year. You can contribute to Unity Week by incorporating one or both of the following options in your spring curriculum.

Open Class

Devote an open class session during Unity Week to discuss the issues of culture, intercultural understanding, and/or diversity. Open this class to the larger campus community. The open classes will be published in the Unity Week publicity materials (e.g., calendar, brochure, and our website).

Example Open Classes:

  • PSY 321. Introduction to Counseling: Cross-cultural Counseling with Counseling Interns Shannon Korell, Melissa Morgan and Sunny Toews
  • SSOM 550. Cultural Environment of Business - Introduction to Eastern Religions: Taoism with The Reverend Amy L. Fisher
  • SOC 222. Women Struggle in Film with Professor Amy Agigian
