The Performing Arts Office includes many outstanding performing and affinity groups featuring dedicated individuals whom have come together to share their passion of performance art with the Suffolk community. 

The Performing Arts Office holds auditions at the beginning of each school year and encourages students to come and showcase their talents.

  • Sketchual Misconduct

    Sketchual Misconduct is a fresh new group dedicated to writing, producing, and performing original sketch comedy pieces.

    Rhythm (formerly known as Vocal Bliss) is a contemporary musical group including student vocalists, student instrumentalists, and songwriters. They rehearse and perform many styles of music and are always interested in new members.

    The Dance Company is comprised of dedicated dancers who work with a professional choreographer in preparation for performances both on and off campus. Styles include hip hop, jazz, lyrical and modern.

  • The Ramifications

    The Ramifications are Suffolk's popular co-ed a cappella group. Formed in the spring of 2001 and comprised of 12-15 students, they quickly made a name for themselves in the Suffolk community, the Boston area, and even around the Northeast. The group has a contemporary repertoire spanning everything from pop and rock to R&B and soul. The Ramifications have one album to their credit, "Voices in the Attic."

    The Ramifications can be seen at campus events including FallFest, PAO Holiday and Spring Concerts, and their annual A Cappella Festival. They also perform regularly with other a cappella groups throughout the Northeast and are available for private functions both on and off campus. Past appearances include singing the National Anthem at a Celtics game and a guest performance during a Valentine's Day segment on Fox 25 news.

  • Seriously Bent

    As winners of the 2005, 2006, and 2007 College Improv Championships, among other competitions, Seriously Bent has earned a reputation as one of the funniest collegiate improv comedy troupes in the greater Boston area. Known for their quick wit and fun-filled, on-the-spot games, the troupe performs at a variety of venues both on and off campus, including two of Boston's premier improv comedy theaters, Improv Asylum and ImprovBoston. The group also hosts an annual improv festival.

  • Techies Union

    The Techies Union aims to nurture, educate and grow both the number and abilities of student event technicians and designers in the Suffolk community, as well as to serve as a resource for any Suffolk event looking for technicians and designers.

    To this end, the Techies Union runs workshops and organizes backstage tours. They also have staffed and consulted on many Suffolk events in many capacities ranging from stage manager to lighting designer to sound design.
