The Creating the Dream Award was created in 2005 with the purpose of recognizing the outstanding efforts of an individual, organization, or department within Suffolk University toward creating an inclusive, respectful, and safe climate for members of the AHANA community. Each year the award is presented during the university's celebration of the life and legacy of the Reverend, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2012 award which will be presented on Thursday, January 19, 2012. Nomination forms must be submitted to the Office of Diversity Services no later than 4:00pm on Friday, December 16.
The award recipient should demonstrate a sustained and tangible impact on the campus community. Examples of such efforts might include:
