• Family Orientation

July 2009

Congratulations on your students’ admission to Suffolk University! We are looking forward to welcoming him/her at our First Year Student Orientation program on August 31st.

We are also pleased to welcome you, as parents and family members, to the Suffolk Community and want to extend that welcome at our Family Orientation Program. While this program runs parallel to the first day of First Year Student Orientation, it is a separate day long program specifically designed to assist parents and families of first year students in their transition to Suffolk.

I hope you will join us for the Family Orientation program. I believe that you will receive valuable information that will help you understand the academic expectations of the University and the many services and resources available to assist students. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet representatives from the College of Arts and Sciences and the Sawyer Business School, and staff from a variety of departments, including Health Services, the Suffolk Police Department, the Counseling Center, the Ballotti Learning Center, Academic Advising, Student Leadership and Involvement, and more.

Please note that the formal Family program ends at 6pm on day one of First Year Student Orientation.  It is also important to note that the student program will not end until 5pm on September 1, so please plan accordingly.

Hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
Nancy C. Stoll, Ed.D
Vice President of Student Affairs
