Dear Student:

Congratulations on your acceptance and decision to attend Suffolk University! As you make your plans to attend summer orientation, we would like to invite you to participate in early Math Placement Testing prior to your Orientation program. This is an optional program for those students who are interested in completing this requirement early.

The placement exam gives us a snapshot of your understanding of basic math concepts and your grasp of math skills that you need to take your courses. We are using the Accuplacer exam, which is produced by the College Board.  You will not need a calculator for this exam.  On problems for which a calculator may be used, a “pop-up” calculator will appear on the screen. Remember, the goal of the exam is to help ensure your success at Suffolk by placing you in a math course for which you have adequate preparation.

If you are interested in taking math placement prior to Orientation, please complete the online reservation form.  We will need to receive your reservation no later than a week before your first desired test date. This will allow us the opportunity to confirm that there is a vacancy at that time.
