• Resources for Students with Disabilities

Suffolk University’s commitment to the success of all of our students means that we ensure full access to University programs and services. Whether you have a physical, learning, medical, or psychiatric disability, or have been diagnosed with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), the University provides a range of services to accommodate your needs.

During Orientation, activities will include written assessment examinations, use of print and other visual materials, and travel in and between campus buildings. Students in need of accommodations or special services due to a disability should contact the Dean of Students Office at 617.573.8239 or TTY 617.557.4875 to ensure full and appropriate participation.

To be eligible for disability services, you must provide current, diagnostic documentation clearly identifying a disability that requires services. A review of acceptable documentation can be found in the Dean of Students Online Disability Handbook.

All diagnostic documentation and supporting materials should be sent directly to:  Elizabeth Irwin, Coordinator for Disability Services, 8 Ashburton Place, Boston, MA 02108. Documentation can also be faxed to Elizabeth Irwin at 617.973.5362, or e-mailed to eirwin@suffolk.edu.

If you require accommodations/services for placement exams during orientation, you must contact the Dean of Students Office at 617.573.8239 or eirwin@suffolk.edu to make arrangements at least two weeks prior to your scheduled orientation date.
