Paul Heinzelmann, MD Consulting Physician, Medical Director
Dr Heinzelmann is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the Harvard School of Public Health.He is currently a clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School and a staff physician at Massachusetts General Hospital.
George has worked in health care for 14 years with a focus on improving efficiency and accessibility. George received a Masters in Public Administration at Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School in January 2010. Prior to Suffolk, George worked at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Performance Analysis & Improvement Unit and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in clinical operations and finance.
Paulette Giambalvo, MPH, CHES
Paulette is the Assistant Director of Health and Wellness Services at Suffolk University. In this position she works with students, staff and faculty to promote overall wellness in the Suffolk University community. She oversees the Suffolk University Peer-health Education Resource group (SUPERs) as well as programming on reproductive health, alcohol, nutrition, and other health topics. She is also responsible for administering the alcohol related behavioral interventions on campus. Paulette received her B.S. from University of Maryland in the School of Public Health and her Master of Public Health from Columbia University in health promotion. Her thesis research project focused on the relationship between substance use and wellness (including stress and harm reduction techniques) among university students. Paulette is a Certified Health Education Specialist and also volunteers as an online sexual assault crisis counselor with RAINN, the Rape Abuse Incest National Network. Paulette recently moved to Boston and in her spare time enjoys indoor rock climbing, concerts, meditation and reading.
Traci Doherty, BSN, MSN, MPH
Traci has been a nurse practitioner at Suffolk Health & Wellness Center since 2003. Prior to that, she worked in Lynn, MA as a clinician in a school based health center and refugee clinic. She earned her BSN and MSN at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She also has an MPH in International Health from Tulane University. She was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guinea-Bissau, West Africa. Her clinical interests include travel health and wellness and women's health. When she is not working, she loves to travel and spend time in the mountains and the ocean with her family. During the fall 2010 semester, she and her husband John and three young children, traveled around the world as part of Semester at Sea, where she served as the ship's Nurse Practitioner.
Amy Groszyk, MSN
Amy has been a nurse practitioner at Suffolk since 2010. Prior to the university setting she worked at a family practice and an eating disorders clinic. Here at Suffolk she has been integral in the development of the University’s Eating Disorder Protocol. She received her Master’s Degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. When she is not working, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it be hiking, camping, cycling or just getting out; her other hobbies include reading and yoga.
I graduated from Bryman Institute in 2001, with a certification as Medical Assistant. I completed my internship at MGH oncology. I have worked at many hospitals in the Boston area including Beth Israel Deaconess and Boston Medical Center. I also have been teaching Medical Assisting Techniques for the last four years at Health Training Center in Central Square. I have been married to a lovely lady for the last 3 years.
I have been working at Health & Wellness Services since 2009 as a Medical Records Coordinator.
Prior to working at Health & Wellness Services, I worked as a Chiropractor Assistant and also as a Medical Records Coordinator for an Orthopedic and physical therapy clinic for over ten years. I am bilingual in Spanish.
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the movies with my friends and family and going for long walks with my two dogs.
I have worked at the Health and Wellness office since 2005. I thoroughly enjoy the academic setting and helping our patients/students meet their health needs. I am proud to say my son has graduated from Suffolk University and my daughter is currently as full-time student. We have a great team here at the Health and Wellness Office, very bright, supportive and dedicated.
