  • Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I attend an academic workshop?
Workshops are designed to help you improve or learn new skills to increase your academic success.

    Who are the workshop facilitators?
Workshop facilitators are students just like you. Many of our facilitators have been recommended by faculty for this role and all of them have sought a role at the BLC because they enjoy helping others and collaborating with their peers.

Seriously, does anyone really attend academic workshops?
Yes, they do! 435 students benefited from an academic workshop during the 2011-2012 academic year.

But how do I know if this will help me?
You won't know the answer to this question until you give it a try! Remember that academic workshops are focused on helping good students get better. If you are committed to improving your GPA by attending an academic workshop, you are well on the way to academic success.
