The membership of the Commission shall consist of no fewer than 13 and no more than 17 individuals and all members shall have a demonstrated commitment to the Mission of the Commission. The Commissioners will include four to five students (two to three undergraduate students and two to three graduate students; undergraduates must have completed at least two semesters at Suffolk University and be currently enrolled full or part-time in the College of Arts and Sciences or the Sawyer Business School) and two to five members from each of these areas: faculty, professional/administrative staff, and support staff (faculty must be employed full-time; staff must have at least a 24hr/week position). Every effort will be made for the membership of the Commission to reflect the diversity of the LGBT community at Suffolk University. Also every effort will be made to ensure that there is no conflict of interest between student, faculty and staff Commissioners.

The members of the Commission are available to all members of the University community to hear your thoughts, concerns, ideas, and experiences related to LGBT issues at Suffolk. Anyone within University community should feel free to consult with members of the Commission and to express their opinions in confidence. The Commission shall not disclose to the President, or to others, any communication requested to be kept confidential by a member of the University community.
