Be a Peer Mentor
The UAP Peer Mentor Network is designed to foster a connection between incoming students and the program's alumni. Peer mentors work with groups of incoming UAP students to facilitate bonding within the cohort, promote a positive connection to the university, and advocate for the program's mission and goals.Applicants must:
- Be alumni of the University Achievement Program
- Have successfully completed SU 101 and SU 102 (B- or higher)
- Have and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.7
- Enroll full-time at Suffolk University throughout the upcoming academic year
- Be enthusiastic stewards of the University Achievement Program, its mission and goals

Be a Teaching Assistant
UAP Teaching Assistants are undergraduate students who assist instructors in SU101 and SU102. TAs help UAP students academically navigate their first year at Suffolk; they serve as a resource when it comes to registering for classes, managing time, and figuring out campus technology like Blackboard, SAIL, and Campus Cruiser.Applicants must:
- Have completed at least one academic year (two semesters)
- Have (and maintain) a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
- Enroll full-time at Suffolk University throughout the upcoming academic year
- Commit to a full year as a teaching assistant
- Work an average of 10 hours per week (150 hours/semester)
- Attend an employee orientation, regular meetings, and program functions
