Alumni Class Officers
As you approach graduation, the time has come to nominate Alumni Class Officers. These individuals are responsible for perpetuating unity between each other, your graduating class, and Suffolk University.
Each officer is elected to serve a five-year term. Elections for new officers will be held every five years during your class reunion. Please use our nomination form to select the individuals you would like to represent your class.
The class president is responsible for making sure that the other officers are fully engaged and for finding new officers in the event an officer resigns or is unable to fulfill his or her responsibilities. He or she is also responsible for energizing the executive committee to organize, in partnership with the alumni office, the class’ five-year reunion. The class president is responsible for holding elections of new officers at reunion.
Class Communication Officer
This is an enormously important office. The communication officer is responsible for maintaining communication and class cohesion between reunion cycles. He or she should use social media, maintain a class website, seek regular updates on classmates, and celebrate classmate news, including jobs, promotions, marriages, etc.
The class agent is responsible for class fundraising efforts in partnership with the annual fund.
