Suffolk University Recruiting Services for Employers

Recruiting On and Off Campus

Our recruiting team will facilitate your efforts both on or off the Suffolk campus. We enable pre-screening and targeted selection. When you work with us, we will also coordinate and schedule interviews. And for onsite interviewing, we can design a customized program that meets your specific needs.

Online postings

We invite you to post open full-time, Co-op and internship positions to the Suffolk community. Job opportunities are posted to our search engine based on employer-selected criteria, where they become accessible to thousands of students, recent graduates, and alumni. Similar to other on-line search engines, registrants can find these postings by entering keywords, titles and industries. You can specify that resumes be sent individually or bundled, and you can set start and end dates to the posting. We use eRecruiting and MonsterTrak to manage this process.

Cooperative Education and Internships

Suffolk students are strongly encouraged to participate in co-ops and internships as part of their education, making Suffolk an ideal talent source to meet your professional and paraprofessional needs on a part time or temporary full-time basis. Both students and businesses can benefit from these exchanges. Co-op students are paid at a competitive hourly wage. Internships are usually non-paying, career building experiences.

Targeted Email

We’ve designed a our email marketing program to reach more students directly. The recruiting team works with individual academic departments and professors to assure timely communication of new job openings and employer updates.

Resumé Books

Working with our recruiting team, direct employers enjoy access to our comprehensive student resumé books. This allows you to conduct a more detailed, selective search when recruiting on campus.

Information Sessions and Networking Events

You can improve your organization's name recognition among students by beginning your recruiting efforts with educational programs. Through company-sponsored, on-campus information sessions, employers have the ability to reach specific classes, majors, and alumni groups. Additionally, we host several networking events throughout the academic year that may relate to your industry. This is a highly effective way to encourage students to apply to your organization.

Job Fairs

Each spring, Suffolk University hosts a Career Connections Full-Time Job Fair and a Co-Op Summer Job Fair. The full time job fair takes place in the last week of March. It offers you an excellent opportunity to target graduating students for specific post-graduation openings.

The Co-Op Summer Job Fair, which occurs approximately one week later, will help you identify and recruit paid summer interns. This fair is open to all students who qualify for the Cooperative Education program.

Special Events

Throughout the year, the Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education hosts several events designed to further the career preparation of our current students. By participating in resume critique and mock interview days, panels and our speaker series, you can gain exposure to Suffolk students and increase their awareness of specific topics while you assist in their career growth.
