Graduate Student Orientation

December 1, 2007
Dear Graduate Student,

Congratulations on your acceptance into a Suffolk University graduate program!  The College of Arts and Sciences, the Sawyer Business School, and the Student Activities Office are collaborating to offer new graduate students a brief orientation to their respective colleges, the University community, and the Boston area.

The orientation, at which your attendance is voluntary, will take place on Thursday, January 10, 2008, from 1:00-4:00 PM.  Check-in will take place at 12:30 in Suffolk University’s Donahue Building, located at 41 Temple Street.  Walk-in registration for classes will follow at 4:00 p.m.  Lunch will not be provided, though light refreshments will be offered later at the Resource Fair. This orientation is offered in addition to any program-specific or International Student orientation you might be attending. You will meet the Deans of your respective schools. We will provide information on student IDs, the Sawyer Library, Campus Cruiser computer training, university email and various other topics. (Please bring a picture ID, a copy of your fall registration if you have already registered, and your Suffolk identification number to obtain a student ID card.) University policies and procedures will be discussed and representatives of the Graduate Student Association will be on hand to welcome you.  We hope you will join us.

Included in this mailing are a schedule of the day’s events and a registration form.  Please fill out the registration form and fax it to Sharon Lenzie, Director of Graduate Programs for the College of Arts and Sciences, at 617-573-8577 by January 4, 2008.  You may also register online at: http://www.suffolk.edu/campuslife/15146.html

We look forward to seeing you at the orientation and to working with you during your time here at Suffolk University.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Sharon Lenzie at 617-573-8268.
